Salon Culinaire Belfast at IFEX is Northern Ireland’s largest and most prestigious chef competition programme
It incorporates a packed line-up of more than 30 classes with hundreds of chefs competing during the three days of the show, culminating in the coveted DAERA Northern Ireland Chef of the Year Competition.
The 2026 Salon will see a range of NEW classes and we expect more chefs than ever to enter the different competitions.
CHEF SKILLS LIVE THEATRE
Chef Skills Live Theatre will feature six adjacent workstations and will come alive each day with a series of fast- paced, back-to-back live cooking competitions.
Whatever your skill level, there is an exciting array of competitions available to enter, from your interpretation of a classic dish, to challenges that embrace the latest trends. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your culinary talents.

EDIBLE ART
Edible Art is a visually stunning array of static exhibits using a wide variety of different mediums, that will showcase the skills and talents of the industry. The inspirational exhibits will create an area that truly is “an edible art gallery”.

WORLD SKILLS & WILD FOOD ARENA
The World Skills Arena will incorporate a programme of cold live competition classes or chefs to showcase some of the essential skills that will form a crucial part of their role as their career progresses.
There will be limited places available so early entry is recommended.
