My name is Soraya Gadelrab and I am the Portfolio Director at Montgomery Group, overseeing the Food, Drink and Hospitality Division.
I have an extensive knowledge of the food industry as well as the hospitality sector and alongside my role at Montgomery Group, I also sit on the Association of Exhibition Organiser’s Development Board and Chair the Business Technology & Innovation Group.
Before working at Montgomery Group, I worked for the UK’s leading publisher Natmags after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Italian & International Studies from the University of Warwick. Having spent time living and working in Italy and Egypt, I developed a passion for languages and can speak fluent Italian, conversational Arabic and some French!
Caroline Mc Cusker
I’m Caroline Mc Cusker and I am the Event Manager for IFEX. I started working on IFEX in 2002 and am very much looking forward to my 10th show. I have always worked within the hospitality industry through exhibitions, restaurants, bars and my parents also own businesses. I have a genuine passion for the events I work on & I have been recently promoted to Event Manager of ScotHot, another of the Montgomery Group’s shows in their Food, Drink and Hospitality Division. I am excited to be part of IFEX 25th anniversary and working with a fantastic team that make the show what it is.
I'm Matthew Smith the Commercial Manager for IFEX. I have worked in events for over 10 years in many different sectors domestic and overseas, and really enjoy presenting a live media festival for companies to showcase their new services and products to an audience in need of business solutions. This is my first IFEX and I’m looking forward to producing a beautiful 25th edition of the show.

My name is Andrew Pantelli and I am the Salon Culinaire Project Director responsible for co-ordinating the portfolio of Chef Competitions across our Food, Drink and Hospitality division at Montgomery Group.
I have been with the Montgomery Group for over 15 years and prior to my current role I was Commercial Director. I am passionate about the shows we run and the industries we serve and have an extensive knowledge of the sector. I feel incredibly privileged in my current role to be working so closely with passionate inspirational people from across the hotel, restaurant and catering sector who are committed to developing the future of our industry.
IFEX 2020 promises yet again to be a fantastic event and the only event of its kind in Northern Ireland, and I am looking forward to working towards our Vision 2020 and working with our Chef Director, Sean Owens, to make the IFEX Salon Culinaire an event to remember.
Portfolio Marketing Manager
Hello, I’m Mel and I am super excited to be taking the reins on the marketing campaign for IFEX this year as the Portfolio Marketing Manager for the Food, Drink and Hospitality Division of Montgomery Group.
Having worked in the events and exhibition space for 7 years, and enjoying the world of food & drink in London and internationally for longer still, it is a personal joy to be able to combine two of my passions into one role.
This year’s show is set to be a fantastic event to mark our 25th edition with some exciting plans in the pipeline, but also continuing our commitment to the future of the industry through our Salon Culinaire competitions.
My name is Amy Spargo and I am the Marketing Assistant at Montgomery Group working within the Food, Drink and Hospitality Division. This is the first time I have worked on IFEX and I am really enjoying working with the Commercial Team in their planning for the 25th edition of the show!
Prior to working at Montgomery Group I studied Events Management at University and then went on to work as an Events Executive on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and during my role here I developed a real interest in marketing so tried to get involved with that whereever possible.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, walking the dog, or reading up on the best bars and restaurants for me and my friends to visit next!
My name is Kate and I am the Operations Manager on IFEX. I am one of the longest standing employees at Montgomery Group and I am thrilled to be back working on IFEX for the first time since 2014. I am responsible for organising the build of the show on time and to the highest standard. As well as this, I oversee the Operational team and we work hard together to deliver a smooth build up and beautiful show.Away from work I am a real country bumpkin and my two young daughters keep me very busy!
My name is Sarita and I am a university student studying International Business, currently on my placement year at Montgomery Group as an Operations Assistant. IFEX will be one of my final events with the company, adding to the array of different shows I would have worked on in my time here. I am looking forward to seeing the show come to life and am here to help with any queries.
Outside of work, you will find me at festivals, enjoying food or back at uni seeing my friends!
