Salon Culinaire at IFEX is Ireland's largest and most prestigious chef competition programme and will incorporate over a packed programme of over 40 classes during the three days of the show. Chefs from all sectors of the industry and of all levels of experience will have the chance to participate in a wide range of competitions that will enable them to learn new skills, develop new techniques and gain feedback from some of the best chefs in the industry.

There are three competition categories to enter - La Parade des Chefs, the ChefSkills Theatre and Edible Art (cold display) :

La Parade des Chefs

kitchenEach day a kitchen and FOH team will produce and serve a three course lunch for show attendees for up to 60 covers. Show attendees will be able to view the chef teams at work through glass panels, plus will be able to reserve a table for lunch price TBC (details of the menus will be available and bookings will be open towards the end of the year).

The ChefSkills Theatre

plateThe ChefSkills Theatre will host an exciting series of back-to-back live hot classes each day in 6 adjacent state-of-the-art workstations. There will be a variety of junior, senior and open classes available to enter, classes will range from a 30 minute against the clock challenges to three course menus to prepare.

Cold Display/Edible Art

edible artAn inspirational display of static classes in an array of mediums that will showcase the incredible skills and talents of the industry.
